Hey hey! Long time no post, eh? Well, I've been trying to be more productive and active, which means less time on the computer. With this in mind, I'm deleting this journal. I don't think I can handle the temptation when I should be doing other things. Before I delete though, I want to say how much I've appreciated this place and everyone here. I found y'all when I really needed it. I will forever love you guys for the thought-provoking discussions, fun, creative outlet, support, and silliness. Twinkle Toes and Skater Boy will always have a special place in my heart too. I wish you all the best. *HUGS and KISSES* |

Brian and Justin, together and separately, are my favorite characters. I would watch them watch paint dry. Justin is smart, brave, driven, and up for trying new things. Brian is disarming, complicated, and fascinating. But I wouldn't want to be Brian's friend, in real life. He is too caustic and cynical.
On the other hand, I would want to be Melanie and Lindsay's friend. But they are also my least favorite characters. Melanie agreeing to Brian as the father; Linsday insisting Brian be the father; Lindsay's wistful dream that she and Brian would end up together; Melanie manipulating Lindsay into agreeing to have a second baby- these are things in real life I could sympathize with, but turn me off of them as characters. I like Melanie as person outside of the Lindsay-and-Brian-sphere. I like how supportive and loving Melanie is wrt the wedding and Linds taking more time off to be with Gus. I like Linds as a person outside of the the Melanie-and-Brian-sphere. She's friendly and loving, what's not to like?
Emmett would be the best friend to have of them all. He is encouraging, yet not afraid to be truthful, and just a joy to be around. I would also be Ted, Debbie, Micheal (though he annoys me sometimes), and Ben's friend.
There is a big difference between favorite/least favorite character and who I would actually want to be friends with. |

A dad story I have to tell! Pretend I included this in the parents portion of the meme.
One Saturday night, in the winter of my 8th or 9th year, my parents and I were snuggled in their bed, wearing our pj's, watching Miami Vice when there was a knock on the door. My dad went to answer it and called out to my mom a couple of minutes later. She came back to me and told me to go next door, as the house was fire. Someone driving by had seen flames coming from our house, called 9-1-1 and knocked on our door to tell us. (LOL at having to be told your house is on fire.) As I was crossing the lawn to get to the neighbor's house, I saw my dad, standing in the snow, in his bathrobe, battling flames shooting up 30 feet in the air, with a puny garden hose. It's an image sort of burned into my brain, no pun intended, and sort of softened with age.
The fire dept came, put out the fire, which luckily was just a chimney fire and did minimal damage. I really wish I could draw or paint to capture this memory, but it would probably look like something out of Reader's Digest, lol. |

Hi everyone! *waves like a maniac*
I've been busy drooling over Adam Lambert lately and trying to survive working out. It seems for every minute I work out, I need two to recover and a nap, lol.
Gale Harold is on a new show, Hellcats, and so far his interviews have shown him to be just as smart alecky yet full of too much thinking as always.
I am sorry to hear about brianslave's burglary and the subsequent hiatus of icon challenges. Is anyone interested in doing something low-key to pass the time?

Rizzoli and Isles is such a bad show. Angie Harmon is copying the Jensen Ackles method of trying-to-sound-like-smoker-to-seem-tough and the Isles character is a clear rip-off of Brennan from Bones. However there is so much les!YAY that I can't help watching. |

During my morning walk yesterday, I got so into the music I actually started jogging, yay! The song was If I Had You by Adam Lambert. It has a nice beat to do a slow jog to. This morning I listened to the same playlist and decided to jog again when that same song came on. Even though I was extra tired I did jog but I have never wanted an Adam Lambert song to end so badly before. Teeheee. |
