Do any of you have downloaded torrents of QAF episodes from which to make screencaps? I have the DVDs, but they don't lend themselves to making good quality caps, but I've heard that the torrents do. I am specifically looking for a cap in 314, as seen in this icon by youbetterwiseup:
Since the image in the icon is so clear, I was hoping a clearer screencap was attainable, somehow.

And, can I just rant a moment about the quality of the DVDs? They are fine to watch, but the screencaps are so bad. The motherfuckin' DVDs! What's the point of a dvd if the quality is low? This ain't no 8-track, you know? Grrrrrrrrrrrr. Even the "collector's set! :< (Did I just make up a new emoticon?)

ETA- When I try to lighten and shrink the pic, it looks like:
Which looks blurry and washed out to me. Reducing noise and sharpening the image didn't do much, so I didn't bother saving that effort. Is youbetterwiseup's icon made from a bad cap and she just has mass skill or it is starting with a better cap? |
